Bob- Nice work. Let me know if you try the denatured alcohol and if it helps the water spots.

Have a good weekend as well!

That's one helluva relaxing shot! Beautiful satin surface - I'd expect it to sparkle and shimmer when viewed from different angles, like one of those lenticular illusion photos that appear to morph and move with different views. May your weekend of nothing be everything you imagined it could be :-)

comment by Turfdigger at May 27, 2005 08:57 AM

Phil -- there'll be no use of the word 'lenticular' on my site! Mainly because I haven't a clue what it means! :-)

Mark - I have 10 rolls sitting in the wings waiting to be bathed in D76 or Rodinal - then a little alcohol to top it all off! Thanks for the tip, I'll let you know how it goes -- I'll use both methods and see...

It's Friday! The best part? I have the day off - and not a dang thing I have to do -- I think I'll go look at ceiling fans -- yeah, that sounds like a great idea - it's been on my list for a LONG time...

Enjoy the weekend -- get out there and enjoy it!

Hi Bob, your nightpictures almost have a personalety of their own, I like watching them.

I love how the water glistens all the way down the beach... so serene... good photo to kick off a long weekend of relaxation :)

I am imagining that thise few blocks are the remnants of an entire society washed away by time and water. Photographically, I love the progressive tone of blue through the sky and water to the gray of the wet sand.
I hope you enjoyed your "do nothing" weekend with your new CD and your book.

~the last time I saw Robert cray live, quite a few moons ago, he tore up the stage for a few hours...a fine musician indeed~

ha, this is beautiful, bob.
Just perfect.

comment by pierre at June 2, 2005 02:50 AM

Lads I shouldn't be too worried, Bob's friend John is still posting at Orbit1 so I there's probably nothing with Bob. Heehee give the guy a break. But on the other hand I must admit it's a bit strange for Bob, so I hope you're doing fine Bob!
