Night Photography Tutorial and other bits
I post a lot of my night images on Flickr - and many people write to ask how the heck I create them. I leave comments, but they sort of get buried as I add more images. So - I'm going to try to collect all my night photography tips and dump them here in the blog. Also, I'm working on an article for an online magazine - I'll do a more thorough job with that, but what I post here should be very helpful. I'm simply amazed by the amount of interest -- who knew?
In other news - I'm thinking of taking a long break from posting - maybe most of the summer. I'm finding I have less and less time these days because of work and other things going on in my life. Most of you that I usually chat with online - or write - are probably wondering, 'where the hell is bob?' -- Well, I'm doing fine - I just have a lot going on. I need to use my free time wisely, and I think that time is best spent making photos and working in the darkroom. I'm going to do my best to post images, but my priority is making a consistent body of work. I'm submitting work to one of my favorite magazines this fall, so I want to make sure I do my best work - that's a challenge with all the distractions in my life. So - if you see a single image up for awhile, I apologize...
