iMac is sold
Okay - the garage sale at No Traces is pretty much over. The iMac sold very quickly, and I sold a ton of lens and cameras I just didn't use much. I used some of the money to buy a better scanner for my Medium Format stuff - the Epson 4990 - a nice nice nice scanner, if you're looking to buy one. I also picked up a macro lens for my Canon 20D - so John can show me how to make pretty pictures of flowers and ugly bugs. I'll probably max out the memory in my nice, new dual G5 -- and put the rest of the money away for something nice later -- maybe something pretty in a blue box (my girlfriend reads this, I know - I want to see if she's paying attention :-) ) Thanks to everyone - I hope you enjoy your new things - I know they all went to good homes - MAKE NICE PHOTOS for us all to see! max out the ram??! Thats either 4gb or 8gb depending on model ... thats a HELL of a lot of ram man. Nice one. Thanks again for the battery mate, can't wait to see your macro shots. Hey, Tx for stopping by and commenting on Now, looking at ur pics, the comments value lots. You have an amazing collection of pictures. Feels good that you found time to see thru an amateur's pics. P.S Hi Bob, can you let me know what the Epson 4990 is like for scanning medium format stuff, I have been looking at one of these once I get the Blad. Yup, I need to be getting me one of those Epsons. My first attempt at scanning some slides this evening and my Hp 5370 simply doesnt cut the mustard. The scans are way too soft and the dynamic range is totally none existent. Leave a Comment
