iMac is sold

Okay - the garage sale at No Traces is pretty much over. The iMac sold very quickly, and I sold a ton of lens and cameras I just didn't use much. I used some of the money to buy a better scanner for my Medium Format stuff - the Epson 4990 - a nice nice nice scanner, if you're looking to buy one. I also picked up a macro lens for my Canon 20D - so John can show me how to make pretty pictures of flowers and ugly bugs. I'll probably max out the memory in my nice, new dual G5 -- and put the rest of the money away for something nice later -- maybe something pretty in a blue box (my girlfriend reads this, I know - I want to see if she's paying attention :-) )

Thanks to everyone - I hope you enjoy your new things - I know they all went to good homes - MAKE NICE PHOTOS for us all to see!

Sale Update

I just sold the R3a last night. I'm happy - it's going to someone who will use the heck out of it; that's a great thing.

Now -- if you're reading this - and are looking for some nice Voigtlander glass - I have an EXCELLENT Nokton 50mm f/1.5 for sale. I'll sell it for $235 plus shipping. It's a GREAT lens. I'm clearing out my Voigt glass to since the R3a is gone. I also have a 90mm Lanther (mint -) - I'll sell it for $225 plus shipping. BOTH great lenses.

Also -- I'll be posting up my iMac for sale - I have a nice, new dual G5 I'm using - and the iMac is collecting dust. I think it's about a year old now. It's the 17" screen version -- 120G drive (I think) - 1G of memory installed - SuperDrive - and works perfectly. I'm in the computer business - and can tell you that my computer gear is well-taken care of! If you're interested, drop me a line -- I'll probably go to eBay with this one - but wouldn't mind selling it to a fellow Photoblogger -- Hey - I used it for about 330 of my posted images!

Nikon items sold!

Okay -- I'm back from Puerto Rico. I feel like I put on 20 pounds, and my liver no longer works -- but I'm happy to be back. As they say, there's no place like home!

All my Nikon D70 gear sold. I sold the 17-55mm last night to a student in California. I'm sad to see it all go. I'll be shipping everything out on Monday. A great camera, and wonderful lenses. I probably sold everything for less than I should have -- but once I make up my mind on something, I just want to get on with it.

Speaking of which -- I have one more camera I want to sell. It's a Voigtlander R3A with the Nokton 40mm f/1.4 lens (multi-coated). I have it posted on photo.net at the moment (Leica forum is there). It's a great camera (you can see the camera, and read information related to it here. The lens comes with the hood. I have all the boxes. I ran TWO rolls of film through the camera. The negatives are SHARP and constrasty -- wonderful. I'd love to keep this camera, but I'm going with the Leica M7 for street photography - I just love my Leica glass too much not to shoot with it all the time.

I'm asking $735 for the whole kit - body/lens/hood/strap (plus shipping and insurance). The camera is in MINT condition. Let me know if you're interested. This little gem makes for a great first rangefinder.

Nikon Gear update

Just wanted to let everyone know the D70 / kit lens / 12-24mm are all sold. The 17-55mm remains. I'll post it on eBay probably Saturday if I don't get a taker here. The lens is priced great -- and it's a wonderful lens. I like it for everyday photos - most every day D70 shot on my site was taken with that lens. What I like about it is it's f/2.8 throughout the zoom range. That's really nice.

That's it -- I'll be home Friday. The weather is GREAT in Puerto Rico. I'm on my way to Old San Juan in just a bit.

Selling My Nikon Gear

I want to sell my Nikon gear. It's a tough decision, but the fact is I just don't use the D70 much. The 20D is perfect for night photography - and I use my film cameras for most everything else. So -- I'm going to post this note here before going to eBay -- I think these prices are very reasonable. I'd really like to sell the whole package together, if possible.

All items are in Ex+ condition - of course, you can view my images here - or on Flickr. The D70 is a wonderful camera - but made to be USED -- not sit in a bag for once in awhile use!

Here's what I have and asking price:

-D70 Body - $550
-Nikkor Kit Lens - 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 DX - $275 (I've used this lens for all of 10 exposures!)
-Nikkor 12-24mm f/4 DX (awesome glass - one of my most favorite lenses) - $750
-Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 DX (Sweet lens -- fantastic for everyday shooting) -$1050

I'll sell the D70 and the Kit lens for $725 if someone is interested in going that route. I'll throw in the 3 batteries I have for it, too.

That's it. I'm heading out on vacation tomorrow. The D70 is NOT going with me. NO digital -- all film. I accept Pay Pal -- I have a way to accept credit cards through Pay Pal, too - I think.

Oh -- I'd be willing to sell the entire package for $2500. I still have the D70 body box -- I think I have the box for the 17-55mm -- not sure about the rest...
