If I believe everything I read in the papers - or see on TV - these days, I may as well break out my water wings and dinosaur raft. The end of the world as we know it is near.

I have lots to do before my mom arrives in a few weeks. I really hope she smuggles in some of those awesome no-bake cookies... I'm just about finished with the Girl Scout cookies that arrived in a care package all the way from San Fran -- yummy...
