First the Cubs - now the Yanks. Even little L can't believe what she's seeing.
I had a GREAT Thanksgiving dinner at Alison's mom and dad's place. Her mother makes the most divine desserts I've ever had (I can do without the mushed up carrots :-) ). Seriously, I'm trying to talk her into going into business with me. Maybe I can get her to write a cookbook and I'll do all the photography - and - most importantly - the taste testing.
I'm happy they don't invite us to dinner every week - not because I don't enjoy their company - but because all my hard work at getting back in shape would just fall by the wayside. I think the turkey Ali's mom cooked must have weighed 40 pounds! Delicious!
Anyway - for all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving at this time of year (strange) - Happy Thanksgiving!
Last time I looked, the Yanks were still losing - not pretty at all. I can't bring myself to root for the lowly Red Sox or Cleveland... There's always next year!
