I made the resolution to shoot nothing but film for the whole year - and I'm sticking with it. But - I'm getting itchy. Why? Well, I've seen some image files from a few new cameras hitting the market - spectacular is the word that comes to mind. The Canon 40D creates image files almost as nice as the 5D - maybe better in some cases. My friend Ron sent me a link to his recent Night Shot - and I have to say I'm really impressed -given he did very little to the image in post processing.

Then I was looking at this shot - just amazing.

I'm not going back to digital until the new 5D replacement FINALLY hits the market (even then, the majority of my work will be done using film) - but I'm really encouraged by what I'm seeing. Now - if they can just do something about the dang sensor dust...

I'm off to the club and to drop off ten rolls of color film for processing. I also need to mix up some new chemicals to process the pile of b&w film I have sitting in a tray. (If I can find the time between getting things ready for the big arrival!)
