Nature Takes Back

I've been in Canada for two months now, and I've covered a lot of ground. I know how to use the transportation system - I have an ATM card - a mobile phone - and I can even order a beer in Canadian (Yah, hey - I'd like a beer, you hoser)... Things are coming along nicely. Yes, I miss the US, but I feel my roots taking hold here in Toronto. Even Lainey likes it here and seems to love walking along city streets. She especially loves to stop by the shops where water and a small treat is available for the taking.

I've seen more of my friends during the last two months then I had in the previous two years! I've met some new friends - and I'm sure I'll meet more over the coming months. I've managed to find a great health club - and I'm now going into the fifth week of my comeback program - I'm ready to fight!

Yep. I'm feeling better. I still have lots to do to become an official immigrant person - but I'm well on my way. Soon, I'll be wearing a Tuque and and bitching about the Leafs. (Hey!! The Cubs are going all the way - how about them Cubs?!! - I'll be sure to head back for at least one game of the World Series - if they make it!)
