I made it safely to Toronto, and it's great to be home. Home!

Ali's out today having a tickle fight with her girlfriends. I'm about to re-bond with Lainey and take her for a nice long walk along Lake Ontario. I missed her so much - it's just so nice to be with her again (oh, and Ali, too :-) ).

We took a walk downtown today. Alison showed me this really cool project she's working on with developers who are putting up what will be Toronto's tallests building in Toronto. She designed all the signs and photos you see all around the construction site (there's a more official term, but I can't think of it right now). She's doing some incredible design work - I learn something from her everyday I can use in my own work.

It's good to be here. I'm tired and a bit frayed at the edges, but life is good.

OH -- they don't celebrate Memorial Day Weekend here -- what's up with that? I'm going to have to have a chat with the Mayor of Canada to see about changing that...
