There are times when I can just ask Lainey to pose for me while I take her photo and she just does it. This was one of those times. I don't know what I'd do without her. I'm going through one of the most stressful times of my life, and it's just going to get worse before it gets better - but Lainey somehow makes it seem okay. I just try to remember it's just her and me trying to head north of the border. How hard can it be for a boy and his dog to move? I have to keep telling myself that as I try to sell my house, transition out of my job, figure out what to do with my stuff until I can legally bring it into Canada, and just maintain some sanity.

Today - I feel stressed and sick - big time. Lainey, on the other hand, is sound asleep on the bed - her stuffed kitty next to her - and she's snoring. What a life.
