Spring Migration

I still feel like aliens injected me with space germs. I was going through some negs and found this one. The vignetting is there because yours truly spaced out and used the wrong lens hood - again. I'll never learn.

This is probably my most favorite time of year. Bird migration is in full swing, and I get all squishy inside each time I see a new species dropping by the lake. I managed to get Lainey out for a swim before the rain moved in and I was pleased to see lots of new birds out there. Common Mergansers, Common Loons, American Goldfinches, American Song Sparrows, Ruddy Ducks, Canada Geese, American Coots - and quite a few more. Did I say I love this time of year? It's pure heaven for me. I love watching feathered couples rooting around for nesting materials and getting ready for newborns. Yep. Spring is here. I just hope I get over whatever it is I have so I can get out to enjoy it all.
