Finally. I mixed up everything I needed tonight and processed two rolls of Tri-X I shot late in the day Saturday. I cut my teeth on Tri-X a very, very long time ago. I always seem to come back to it, except this time I used a different developer. I usually like to use D76, but John mentioned I might want to use XTOL -- good gawd that stuff is nice. I can't wait to scan the negs on my good scanner (if it ever gets fixed properly).
This is my crazy dog, Lainey after a nice long wallk out at the lake today. We found the ducks and the usual cast of Canada Geese and Ring-billed Gulls. We went for a few hours. I usually take her for an hour, so she was pretty worn out by the time we got home. There's something very satisfying for me knowing that she's happy. I really don't know what I'd do without her. She's my Skip (if you've ever read the wonderful book, "My Dog Skip" by Willie Morris, you'll know what I'm talking about).
I'm hoping to shoot a bit more film tomorrow and do some more processing. It's very cathartic for me - and the best part is Lainey lays over the back of the couch to supervise.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
