The Thai place I go to is wonderful. I've been going there for quite a few years now. I know everyone there, and they know me - and they treat me very well. There are times when Mama justs brings something out for me to try - like the bowl of soup you see here in the foreground. I'm a HUGE fan of shiitake mushrooms - I wasn't disappointed with the dish she brought out for me. I just wish she'd make it a regular item on the menu!

In other news - I'm pretty excited about this - I ran into a good friend of mine - I've known her for a few years, but she ended up moving away maybe a year ago and I never got the chance to say goodbye. Anyway - I was walking through the bookstore this evening and there she was! We've always enjoyed chatting with each other and tonight was as if we were just picking up where we left off yesterday.

I digress - as I'm leaving she walks up to me and says she has something she needs to ask me. Whatever it was, I could tell by her face it was pretty important. She asked if I would be interested in photographing her wedding! Yikes! I don't do weddings! BUT - she knows and loves my work - and she said she had hoped to find me again - and I think she's great, so - how could I say no? So - I guess I'll be a wedding photographer -- just this once :-) I have to admit - after all the cool projects I've worked over the last year, this one thrills me to pieces. She looked so happy to be getting married - and I'm happy to help make the day special for her and her new husband. Thanks, Tiff for thinking of me - it means a lot.
