We had our first glimpse at winter today - snow was blowing for a bit - and it was damn cold out there. Of course, Lainey loved every minute of it. I swear, I've never seen her run as fast as she did today while we were out together - she was flying! I have no idea what gets into her, but she just loves cool weather - she's like a whole new dog.

I'm out of here for the weekend - to warmer winds...

Which reminds me, the birds are flying home. I was lucky to see three Whooping Cranes last weekend while up in Wisconsin - really a beautiful site to see. Be on the lookout for them, they're flying along with an ultra-light plane - on their way down to Florida for the winter. Wonderful and majestic they are.
