A few things:

My site was down again last night. I've been assured by the fine people at Wiredhub.net that once they migrate my site to the new server I should experience ZERO downtime. I like them, even when they screw up my site and I blow a cork. They get it right - eventually.

I'm buying a motorcycle. Yep. I am. For you gear heads -- BMW 1200 RT -- that's my bike. I've waited entirely too long. I'm going for the big safety course this weekend or next. I'm determined to pack up a few cameras, and cruise the midwest (maybe even go see my friend Zman in Oklahoma - or John up in Wisconsin - or I may even get nervy and head head to Texas to see Ninds) -- I plan on taking LOTS of photos. Riding my motorbike should allow me to get into places I might not normally go with my truck... I plan on packing up the view camera and having a dandy time. I may even get a sidecar to take along Lainey. I'm excited. I simply went to pick up some riding gloves last night at a motorcycle place -- my testosterone was pumping -- I felt like a dang 16 year-old -- I'm not kidding. Wicked cool feeling... I can't wait...

My 5D is in the shop. Something weird is up. I will say it's one of the most reliable cameras I've ever used, and the image files are incredible. I have a feeling Canon will be sending me a new one. Fine by me. I'm just happy I found the issue when I did; my warranty is up September 30th!

I'm going to post up my rules of photography. I think you might like them. Stay tuned.
