Full moon in 10 hours and 1 minute. I'm not sure if I'll get out in it tonight or tomorrow. We'll see. I'm working on a few other projects at the moment. I'm signed up for a really cool print making class in the fall - platinum prints - a lost art. I need lots of nice BIG negs for the class, so I'm hauling out the view camera. Large format camera class starts in about a month, so that will help motivate me to get my 4x5 act together.
In the meantime, I'm loving my Polaroids. I have them piled up waiting for scanning - right next to the bags full of 120 negs... My problem is I prefer to shoot photographs of the world around me, instead of spending time processing, scanning and printing. There will be plenty of time for that when I'm old and gray -- right? Right.
I have to say I was very happy to be back at work today. I'm still not caught up with my email, but that's okay - it just felt good to be back. A big thanks to all my peers for the thoughts, prayers and support. I really do appreciate it all.
I also made it to the club for a nice workout today. I didn't keel over, but there's always tomorrow. I'll be back to pumping iron -- I'll be lucky if I can lift 20 pounds over my head! I keep the following thought in mind when getting back after a LONG layoff: Start slow, then, taper off. Good thinking for an old guy like me.
