Show Me The Way

It's Thursday night - the moon is out, but the feeling I'm looking for just isn't there. Plus, I'm tired. I've had two long days - but productive and informative. (Special thanks to my peers for all the support and putting up with my craziness - we're going to have a fun year).

So - I'm tired. I'm going to stay in and hope that the weather cooperates tomorrow or Saturday night. I have Monday off - so a nice long weekend is in store. I do have to fly out Monday night, but that's okay.

This is the last image published in the Feb issue of Popular Photography. It's probably one of the very first long exposures I ever took. I was using the Nikon D70 at the time. Speaking of Nikon, I saw today that they've decided to concentrate on their digital offerings -- keeping the F6 and FM2 around -- but man oh man - how depressing. I suppose it had to happen sooner or later.

Enjoy your weekend. Take lots of pretty pictures, and if you're so inclined (and the weather is fine) get out under the moonlight -- I assure you it'll soothe your soul. I plan on going downtown to shoot more film - and also use my 4x5 pinhole camera (special thanks to my great friend Jimbus for the AWESOME Paterson Orbital processor - and to Katie for helping me to understand how to properly use it! I can't wait to shoot a ton of b&w 4x5 sheets this weekend).

Be good and kind.
