I want to thank everyone for the kind comments and emails related to my last post. I'll just say I'm touched - and leave it at that. Thank you.

This is my last post of '05 - it may very well be one of my favorite images I took this year. I'm not sure why - it just touches me in so many ways. I took the image while walking around downtown Chicago - the Daley Plaza - it was one of those rare moments for me - when I just knew all the right elements were in the frame... I can't explain it beyond that - I just like it.

Thanks to everyone for visiting - and thanks to the thousands and thousands of photographers out there who have shared their work over the past year. I believe it takes courage and strength to show one's work via such a far-reaching media - the Internet. You're all to be commended - and I've seen thousands upon thousands of images over the last year -- all having some influence on my own work in some way... Thank you.

I look forward to '06 - I'll face challenges I've never faced before - and I welcome them all. Learning to face them - and overcome them - for me, is what learning is all about. I'm still learning - and hope that I always will - until I draw my last breath.
