Robert

Okay -- I just couldn't stay away. I broke out my wonderful - beautiful - astounding view camera. If you've never shot with a view camera, you're missing out. For those of you who don't know what a view camera is - it's one of those cameras you probably saw as a child in cartoons - where the guy gets under a hood to look through the camera (view camera) - and then pops off a big 'ol flash -- that's a view camera... I have a 4x5 view camera - and it's really - and I mean - REALLY - NICE...

The thing about a view camera is you really need to know what you're doing to create a halfway decent image. It's not like digital where you fire off a few hundred images - looking for just the right one - UH -- NO -- the film I use is about 2 dollars per exposure -- so I really have to THINK about what I'm doing - I have to "be in the moment"... It's a slow, methodical process -- very calming - very soothing - and when the exposure is just right, an affirmation that I AM a photographer. A good feeling.

I may or may not post another image before Christmas -- who knows -- but if by chance I don't -- I wish you all well -- and hope that your New Year brings you joy and goodness - and - good fortune... Thanks to everyone who has visited - and/or commented - I'm truly grateful - it keeps me going. I hope that I've somehow PAID it all FORWARD ... Thanks so much --- I WILL chat at you later...
