Southbound

I thought I'd pop up my Monday shot way early. I have some reading to catch up on tonight - and I'd like to FINALLY process some night shots I took several months ago. I'm way behind on the processing side of things. I can remember a time when I struggled to find an image to post -- now, I have a pile of exposed rolls - most of which I forgot to mark - so it'll be interesting to see what's on them. I've been film crazy lately - I just have to get back to processing a few times a week. It's not that hard...

A little background on this photo. I went out the other night even though I wasn't feeling that well. I thought the night air might do me some good. I was wrong - it made things worse for me. I think I took four frames and went home and climbed into bed. Today is the first day in about a month I actually feel 'okay' - just okay... I need to get myself healthy -- I need to work out -- I need to get my shit together -- I need to regain my balance. I know it'll all come in time...

What you see in this photo is a heronry. The Great Blue Herons raise their young here. I've written about it before - but this place is just plain magical, and you'd never know it was there unless you knew what to look for. The birds have gone home for the season -- I hope to see them again...

Enjoy your week -- if you live in the US - it's a nice short week...
