Red Rule Diptych

It's Friday and I'm far far from home. Hopefully, by now - I've had at least two mojitos - and a few wet and warm kisses from the one I love. I'm pretty much guaranteed to have a wonderful weekend. I wish the same for you...

I'm hoping that hurrican Wilma takes a turn for open seas - away from land. I'm hoping for a World Series trophy for the city of Chicago - it's been a long time coming (yes, I wish the Cubs were there, but hey, I'm a born and bred Chicago boy - the White Sox are family) - And - I'm hoping for more peaceful times.

Get out there this weekend -- take some pretty pictures of all the great fall colors (if you are lucky enough to still have them around). Take a long walk with your family - even if it's just you and your dog - enjoy this time of year - it won't be long before the snow flies. As you know, I love birds - and I take my cues from them. The Juncos were nutty today while I walked with Lainey through the woods. Juncos, to me, mean one thing - winter is near - very near. Enjoy what's left of fall... I know I'll be doing exactly that...

Be sure to check out John's site for more cool images from his dad -- they simply rock.
