Okay -- I'm going to make this post official - not THE official return post -- that comes tomorrow. I just wanted to put my usual touch on the image - I love words as much as the images I see all around me...
This shot was taken on the night of the last full moon - and exposed for almost 600 seconds at f/6.3 using my 10-22mm lens. What a wonderful night it was, too. I came away with more than a dozen images to show you over the next several weeks.
If you click on READ MORE - you'll get more detail around the design and programming behind the return of No Traces -- I'm eternally grateful to Alison for the design -- and my programmer (who wishes to remain anonymous and is a master coder) - fantastic job by both of you.
The new place just feels good. Things are working as they should have all along. I'm looking forward to using FUTURE POSTS - and there will be a few improvements along the way - there just wasn't enough time to get through the entire wish list - but we came damn close!
It looks like things are starting to sort themselves out nicely - and everything seems to be working just fine. So - I'll officially launch tomorrow, which means - (for those of you who follow along closely) - I'll most likely post something up later this evening.
I've decided to make this a 5 day-a-week gig - with the occasional Saturday post thrown in. I REALLY enjoyed my time away. I recharged my mental and physical batteries. I dragged my butt back into the club to work out - I cleansed my soul and mind of things that simply were not good for me - and I found that love does exist - something I simply cannot get enough of...
I'll save the rest of my thoughts for my upcoming post - but suffice to say - I've not been this happy in a very, very, very long time. I believe it has a lot to do with the realization that no matter what happens in my world - I will find a way - a path that's clear...
See you tomorrow!

This is NOT my official RETURN of NO TRACES shot -- however -- I really do like it - a lot. It's my best pier shot - I think... I have more than a dozen night shots to post - but I'll try to post other 'stuff' in between. I made good use of my time away. Very good use. Lots of changes in my life - I think all of them will be good for me - in the long run. I'll write more when the time is right.
I'd like to sort of unofficially thank my wonderful designer, and great friend - Lala - I have no idea how you put up with me - but you did - and we're here - in launch mode. I'd also like to PRAISE my programmer - he did a KILLER job cleaning up the place, and optimizing code. I'll just say this - if you ever need a job - come see me! Really -- thanks to both of you...
I'm going to wait until things settle down before posting up my OFFICIAL return image -- I think you're going to like it -- it's a self-portrait - in my element - that's all I'll say -- I'm thrilled to have made it - and even more thrilled to show it to you. I'm hoping to post it up Friday -- perfect timing for my Friday thoughts, eh? (Ali is from Canada - I've picked up a bit of accent from her) ....
So -- it's damn good to be unofficially back -- so damn good. I've been itchy as hell to post some things up... Flickr is a lot of fun - but it's just not the same - the audience is much different -- not in a bad way -- but I like to think that the true photoblog community is sort of like the die-hard sports fans we've all seen --- they're there to see the game - socializing can be done afterwards... I happen to like the game a lot, too -- exactly why I couldn't stay away...
Thanks to everyone -- and I mean everyone who sent notes of encouragement -- I'll dedicate Opening Day to you!
See you on Friday....
