I'm having hosting issues. I've set up a new account with a new host and in the process of installing the necessary software and moving No Traces over. There'll be a delay though - Movable Type 3.2 will be released this coming week, and I can't finish the install until that happens. So - I'm not sure if I'll be posting at all this week. For those of you who use MT, you'll understand my frustration when I tell you it takes nearly 15 minutes to SAVE - and even then, I get the dreaded Error 500 message -- it's ugly. It's to the point now where I can't even rebuild my site -- which means I'm on really thin ice at the moment. I'll back up everything in a few minutes --- but it's a pain..

Also - I'm going through some re-design, but that probably won't be done for a few months. The title of this image is appropriate -- I feel like I can check out anytime - but I can never leave! Just when I think I'll go off and do something else for awhile - and leave all this behind - I receive nice emails from people I've helped - or inspired - or just became virtual friends with over the last 18 months or so. I'm really thankful for the interest and appreciation and support. I really do my best to float all boats in the harbor -- I'm a firm believer in that notion -- and I've surrounded myself with like-minded people -- I've learned so much from so many people -- the least I can do is pass on what I've learned -- and this is sort of my forum to do so...

Anyway -- re-design is on the way. I'm going to build out a nice tutorial section (Mr. Bill - thanks for consolidating all the crazy stuff I've written about night photography - I will get to it, I promise!) -- and a few other ideas I've thought about for a long, long while now. Also - I'll be launching a completely new site around the first of the year -- all black and white work -- in collaboration with other photographers I really admire -- more on that later...

It's Sunday -- it's so nice outside -- I need to get out in it... I've been holed up for much too long -- I've slept way too much -- and I'm just plain blue'd out -- I can't take it anymore... I need to breath in life again... I'm heading off in less than two weeks for a nice long Labor Day weekend -- I know that will do me a world of good...
