The birds are flocking - I'm telling ya - it's going to be a HARD winter... stock up on Vienna sausages and mojito mix... We're in for a whopper... I know, I know -- hard to believe when the temps are hovering near 100 every day... I'm just sayin' -- don't say I didn't warn you!

On my walk with Lainey this evening, I saw: a pair of Sandhill Cranes, 3 Bobolinks, many Tree Swallows, lots of Cedar Waxwings, Robins, Crows, Cardinals, Indigo Buntings, American Song Sparrows, American Goldfinches, Starlings (flocked like all get out), Mallards, Eastern Meadowlarks (at least two - the other one I wasn't certain - I didn't have my binos with me), and lots of Canada Geese (yes, it's Canada - NOT Canadian Geese - look it up)... The birds are coming home -- and getting ready to fly their little asses off heading south -- they know what time it is...

Wednesday -- halfway home... enjoy the day...
