I thought I'd do a little color correction this time around -- I sort of like it a bit better -- not sure... I have a few more...

I went out this evening to bird watch. The first time in a very long time - in fact, it's been 3 years since I've been to this particular spot. No camera - just my binos. I didn't need my ID book - I still remembered them all -- Sandhill Cranes (mated pair - lovely - just lovely) / American Goldfinch (Males have to be the prettiest birds on earth) / Yellow-billed Cuckoo (he scared the crap out of me when he hopped out of the bush to look at me!) / Blue-gray Gnatchatcher (scrappy little fellows) / Cardinal (Red -- RED!) / American Crow (Loud as hell - but there's no such thing as a bad bird in my book)/ Tree Swallow (grace under pressure) / Purple Martin (Shimmery) / Indigo Bunting (Fav Bird of the Year) / Red-winged Blackbird (I watched a female hover over the marsh - looking for her nest - a thing of absolute beauty) / Great Horned Owl (real prize tonight) / Little Green Heron (Best damn fisherman) / Great Blue Heron (My SPARK bird) / Coppers Hawk (Smooth operator) / Turkey Vulture (ain't no bird purdier than this one), and many others... Pure heaven for me ... Just me and a mess of birds for 90 minutes at dusk... I really missed it - I'll be going back again tomorrow...
