Special thanks to Walker for the Fav of the Day link -- awesome work - and thanks to my best friend in the world - Super T, for sharing such wonderful perspective and engaging thought - helps me to remember what's important...
I'm off to see two of my most favorite artists/photographers/authors/designers/dogcat lovers of all time... I'm told they have faux mojitos at the place we'll be dining tonight -- AND -- 50% off menu items from like 7-9! I think we'll have a King's feast! I have to have faux mojitos (sans alcohol) because I have one more very important meeting tomorrow before taking a much-needed break from work.
I had an AWESOME time in the darkroom last night. My instructor is great -- I'm learning lots -- and I'm addicted to Dektol - what can I say... The great thing about being in the darkroom and making prints is you begin to really really understand the importance of making GREAT exposures when you're at work in the field. Having a grasp on the ENTIRE process - from capture of light - to printing that light -- makes a world of difference in creating images which please us as photographers - and our audience... I'm still hooked - after all these years - and I'm learning something each and every day - I'm grateful for that.
Okay -- I'm off to hop a early afternoon flight. I'll be back Friday. We have a LONG weekend in front of us!
