If You Were A Flower

Sojo, a terrific poet, wrote this wonderful poem - which in turn inspired me to post this image. Take a look for yourself...

It's Friday. The moonlight will be perfect this weekend - I have faith. I can't wait. I went out this evening and shot a roll of HP5 through my Holga, even though it was raining and generally miserable outside. I had to - I needed to get my hands dirty processing film this evening. I'm going to scan a few frames in a bit - if they turn out, I'll be sure to post a few this weekend.

OH! I found a GREAT way to put an end to water spots on my negs (Bill, are you listening??) --- RECIPE: 1 gallon distilled water - 100 ml isopropryl alcohol (70% stuff you get at the drug store) - and 10ml Photo-Flo -- after your negs are washed, set the reel in a solution of this stuff for about 2 minutes - shake - dry - cut - store. That's it. Works like a CHAMP!

I'll chat a little about a 2 fixer bath later - but I tried it for the first time tonight -- man, my negs are just sweet. I can't wait to process some of my Rolleicord film using the whole new process. I'm finally getting a nice processing system down...

Have a great weekend - try to get out and take a few shots at night! Take someone you love with you -- nothing better than someone to squeeze under the moonlight. ---- Thanks to everyone who posted their great hydrant photos on Flickr! I really do appreciate it... It's just a strange fetish I have...
