I'm posting this up a bit early tonight. I feel a cold coming on. Dammit! I was going to go out and take a few shots with film tonight -- but I feel like an iceberg ran me over!
What you see in this shot is an iceberg -- and talk about eery. John and I were out there for a little more than 4 hours - 3 of them were spent under very heavy cloud coverage, which really made things DARK - and scary. The iceberg you see in the foreground keep rolling around - almost like it was alive. I told John that it reminded me a body flopping around -- it just scared me to death. You can't really tell from this photo, but I was all the way out on the EDGE of the ice shelf -- probably several feet of water below me if I fell through. John and I had a great time talking about how he would save my ass if I were to fall in -- yeah, right. He'd take off with all my camera gear and leave me to the fishes...
Exposure: 360 seconds f/7.1 ISO 100 10mm focal length
I'm going down to get under the blankets and watch some trashy TV shows. Have a wonderful night (and great morning, for those of you on the other side of the world!)
