I call her Zania -- long story -- but it has to do with food. She wants to be a chef - no wait - a Maître d' -- when she grows up. She has it all figured out, too. Alison and I will be her customers, but we'll also somehow work there, too. Her sister will wash dishes and clean up. Yep - she's got it all figured out.
I think Hurricane Ike hit our house - at least it seems that way. We're on a renovation rampage - we're doing the basement now - putting in a completely new bathroom - a darkroom - playroom for the girls. We had to move everything from the basement to the first floor (I can't believe how much film and chemicals I have) -- so now we're crammed into a small space - there's dust everywhere - and we have no privacy. That's okay -- it'll be great once it's done -- but then we start with the main floor! I think we'll just have to move out for a month while they do that part.
In the meantime, I'm just shooting film and taking it to the local drug store for processing and scanning -- they don't do a bad job at all. So - I can live with the renovations for a little while longer -- but I'll be so happy once the darkroom is complete (I'm having them build in a nice custom sink so I have a wet and dry side for printing and washing) - I'm going through major b&w film processing withdrawals right now... I'm back to having several dozen rolls of b&w film in waiting... Soon...
