Nature Sprouts

Be sure to click on the link at the bottom of this page - my great friend, Big John Perkinson, is back at it. I'm so happy. He makes it all look so easy - so easy. I've learned so much from him over the years - and I hope he's learned a thing or two from me. Photography is the common ground that started our friendship, but we've grown beyond just talking about images. I don't keep many close friends; I'm happy to say John is tops on my list. I'm hoping to get down to see him and the Orbit Family soon!

Film is, and always be my favorite medium. When I processed this roll of film and saw this image, I was reminded of my true addiction - film. I love shooting with a digital camera, but nothing beats film. Nothing. If you could see this negative, you'd be amazed by the detail and sharpness. A scan for the web simply cannot do this image justice. I plan on printing it LARGE in the darkroom and hanging it in our studio. There is so much detail to see and enjoy.

I love night photography, but this is the first shot I've put up in a few years - since my brother passed away. Two years flies by fast, and while I miss him, I have to say I find his spirit everywhere. I see him in Mae - it's scary sometimes how much she reminds me of him. He's with me while I workout and worry whether or not I'll have a heart attack. He's in every image I make.

Life goes by really fast - really fast. Enjoy it.

Have a great weekend. I'll be back soon.
