I keep one book handy - "A Short Guide to a Happy Life" by Anna Quindlen. If you get a chance to read it, do so. It'll take you all of 15 minutes.

One of my favorite quotes / thoughts from her book is as follows:

"If you win the rat race, you're still a rat"

I couldn't agree more.
