Things are going a little more smoothly with Baby Niggles. We took her to the One of a Kind Show today, and quite a few people asked if we were concerned to have our newborn out in public -- uh, no. It's good for us all to get out and see what's going on in the world. I actually enjoyed walking around to see all the crafty stuff - I even found some really cool journals and photo albums. Oh, and a nice one piece warmer thingy for Mae to wear when we go out for nice winter walks - and - a funny hat with ears on it - AND - some very warm jammies with skull and crossbones (how could I resist?)

We're starting to get better at dealing with the big changes Mae brought with her. I'm hoping to get back in the club soon (although, I must admit, the time away has been nice - but I do need to get back before I blow up like Oprah) - but the club will be there when I'm ready...

I have to say that it's really nice to spend time with Ali and Mae and not have to fly off to work somewhere. There really should be a law in the US that allows dads to stay home for at least 3 months. I realize now how much mom's need the help - and how much stronger a relationship becomes when you work through the trials and tribulations of having a new baby - together. I was much too young the first time around - and I feel bad I wasn't there as much as I should have been... At least now I have lots of time to spend with Baby Mae and watch her grow.

It just occurred to me that today is Thursday! I lose complete track of what day it is, which, I think, is a good indication that I may FINALLY be unwound from the craziness of the corporate world. (Yes, I do miss it from time to time -- but not enough to ever want to go back).

So - the weekend is just about here. Enjoy it. Christmas is upon us (607 hours until the big day!) - get your shopping done! Enjoy the time with family, and take time out for yourself... Have a great weekend!
