A very special thanks to my good friend Zman for sending me several wonderful DVD's - all about great photographers. Thanks, Mark. I watched the first one, "What Remains" - about Sally Mann. I have to say that I really was moved to tears. Her work is incredble, and her story so compelling. She begins her story, and immediately grabs my heart, by telling us that what's important to her is her immediate surroundings - her family - her land. Shoot what you know. Shoot what you love. That is exactly what's she's done her entire life. Her love for what she knows - shows.
I finally figured out my film mystery, thanks to the professor -- Big John Perkinson - he called it - Photo-flo. He saved the day. Saved my life - as usual. Seems to me that about this time last year he saved me from a fall into a crevice between rocks out on Lake Michigan. Thanks, JP - hope you didn't kill yourself curling tonight! How about some images for us to see, huh? :-)
The image for tonight is very special to me. I worked hard to get to this point. I have a long way to go.
Enjoy the weekend. It's a long one for me! I have lots of photos to take. Lots of lists to make, and lots of things to ponder.
Thanks for stopping by. I really do appreciate it. You have no idea. Thank you.
