A new week begins. I have to head out on the road Tuesday for a little work, then, on up to Toronto. Should be a fun week and weekend. I wish I could take Lainey with me. I miss her so much when we're apart.

I'm in a photo funk. I haven't taken many photos lately. I go through this every now and again. I open up my image catalogs and think that I simply cannot take a photo to save my life. I feel like just deleting them all! It's okay, I know I'll get my groove on again soon. It's good for me to get away from it all for a bit. I begin to see the world in new ways. Hey - that's Rule #2 - Take a break every now and again - just enjoy life. Simple, huh?

Speaking of taking a break, while walking Lainey out at the lake today I figured out why I'm in a photo funk. It's because the birds are migrating! This time of year I usually carry my binoculars instead of a camera. I can't help myself. I took them along today and I'm glad I did, there are lots of great birds on the move right now. Be on the lookout for them!
