Writing on the Wall
My back is much better today -- thanks to everyone for willing me back to health! Now, can you do something about the sucky weather we're having in Chicago?? The moon is almost at 40% illumination. If it's out tonight, I may have to go out and scrub some of the rust off my night camera... OH! Be sure to pick up the lastest Lens Work -- Don Normark's work is featured - great stuff. Also, Brooks Jensen is the editor of Lens Work - really great guy to chat with if you ever get the chance. He includes his "Twenty-One ways to improve your artwork". Brooks included something like these in an issue I read years ago, and I've never forgot them -- they've helped me immensely. I hope Brooks doesn't mind, but I wanted to include #21 here: "Remember, art is not about artwork. Art is about life. To become a better artist, first and foremost become a better person - not in the moral sense, but rather in the complete sense. Remember that the greatest artist is not the one with the best technique, but the one with the most human heart." - Brooks Jenson Listening to: Somebody to Love - Queen |
