Next FULL MOON is 19 days 10 hours and 30 minutes away -- April 24. I'm already thinking ahead as to where to go this time. I have some things in mind. Stay tuned. In the meantime - I have a few more night images from the two nights I managed to get out. I also have a ton of shots from this weekend - and about 10 rolls of film STILL not processed. I've been doing what I should be doing - making photos. I've pared down my toolbox a bit - and I'm using only the tools I feel comfortable with. Also, I'm trying out new ideas and projects - pushing myself a bit more.
I mention this because I notice that I'm coming up on one year with No Traces. April 8th was my first post. I didn't realize this until I looked today. It's not so much the one-year anniversary which makes me feel such wonderful elation - it's the fact that I've come this far. It's the fact that for so many years I let my passion, my skills - lie dormant. Life just got in the way... Rather than think of lost time, missed images, what could have been -- I like to take time to give thanks for somehow finding my way back to the one thing I've loved for as long as I can remember - photography.
Also, as challenging this last year has been - dusting off my skills, finding the right tools, transitioning to the digital world, and overcoming the fear of showing my work, to name a few - I know one thing I'm absolutely certain of - I'll NEVER let life get in the way again.
