What a day -- I missed the Chicago Photobloggers meeting -- I got hung up with work stuff. I'm afraid I'll be hung up all week, so I may miss a few days here and there. My site has been pretty flakey lately, so having a guest poster is not an option at the moment. However - I have a very talented person working on debugging the problem... So -- maybe when I head off to Europe, I'll have a flock of great photographers stand in while I'm away.

My apologies to those of you who are on dial-up - I really tried to shrink the size of this image down. In fact, I shrunk it down more than I wanted to -- there's some noise, but it's no where near what it was when I started out with the image. I took the image a few weeks ago when I went out with John - I scanned it and just wasn't happy. I used some really grainy color film - it just didn't look right. While processing my macro shot, I came across a cool program called Neat Image - it does a GREAT job reducing noise in an image. I haven't read the manual - I just used the default settings - I'm really shocked by how great it is for high ISO shots... Give it a try.

I almost gave up on this image, but Houser chided me for giving up so soon... So, this one's for you Houser -- hope I did okay...
