I travel a fair amount. I see lots of things during my travels, but for the life of me I can NEVER remember what the heck things are in photos when I get back home. I'm terrible. So -- I'm depending on YOU to help me with this one. Old San Juan is the place -- but I have no idea what this little mission is called - and if it in fact is even a mission! I know, I'd be a terrible travel writer - can you imagine? I'd have everything screwed up. You want a map of how to get there? Forget about it. What street is this place on? Uh - don't remember. Oh but I can tell you every bird I saw! And where the closest Starbucks is (I do this by landmarks though --- 'Okay, go to the big building over there -- and turn right -- go until you see the building with the big black dog in front - turn left - look for the cool blue bench and it's right next door - nice silver hydrant out front'... that's how I operate...
Oh -- in other news -- my macro lens just arrived. I've NEVER used one of these things. John at Orbit1 has promised me a fun-filled summer of photographing bugs and flowers -- all while sitting in a chaise lounge chair sipping wine (or a nice mojito - you know me and my mojitos) -- now, that's livin'... In the meantime - I'll see if I can find something interesting while walking Lainey. I'm open to ideas...
