Lolita's Doorway

Film is back. Some good images. Let's start here, shall we? Let me just say I LOVE the Contax T3 and Fuji NPH 400 / Fuji NPS 160 -- kickin' film -- damn nice stuff. Thanks, Jim and Ross -- good call on the T3 -- a fun camera to use on vacation -- the lens is OUTSTANDING - the negs are spectacular.

I have lots of boxing up to do today. I managed to sell two cameras and an assortment of lenses. Nice. Now, I can fund my next purchase - but I'll tell you something - when on vacation, the camera to have is the Contax T3 -- all the shots I'll post over the next week were shot with the T3.

Puerto Rico was fun. Great. It was nice to be away. I have to admit something - Puerto Rico made me yearn for Cuba - I mean YEARN for Cuba. I pray for one thing: America never gets their greasy little hands on the jewel of Cuba - NEVER. Why? Just take a walk around Old San Juan -- then, you write me a quick note - you tell me. I can image San Juan - once upon a time - being as sweet as Havana...

I've tried to capture the essence of Puerto Rico -- what * I * think Puerto Rico really is when you wipe away the tourist / American sludge... A beautiful place - beautiful people -- but you have to look hard - squint your eyes a bit - to get a feel of once was... Enjoy...
