Out of the Muck

Okay -- I'm feeling better now -- my creative muses are back with me, but they have me starting from scratch - from a place that feels comfortable to me. Oh yes, fire hydrants - they tickle my brain just the right way.

I went out today and used my replacement D70 - Nikon was so good to me - they sent me a brand new camera to replace the one I had trouble with. That was weeks ago - I've just been too busy with film - until today. I just had to get out there and fill up a memory card, or two. I'll be posting up some of the images over the next few days while I process a few rolls of black and white I managed to finish yesterday. OH -- and I ran a roll of nice color 120 film through my Diana to celebrate Toy Camera Day! I'll send that off to the lab tomorrow -- and have something up soon. Also, I hope to be out with John this coming week to take some night shots using the D70 - should be great fun.

So, see? The muses are everywhere. My trip to see several of the great Toronto Photobloggers really gave me the creative push I needed. (Pay no attention to those not so flattering b&w shots of me - I was going on very little sleep!) Seriously, I had a blast -- thanks to everyone who attended - and a special thanks to Rannie, for setting everything up -- spreading the word, and making sure everyone knew where to go. Also, my thanks to Gayla and Davin for breakfast at The Beaver! I had so much fun just chatting about life - I wish I could have stayed for another ---- hmmm ---- year? I had that much fun! Thanks everyone - you made me feel very special...

Now, it's back to making images!
